Extraction of partonic transverse momentum distributions from semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering, Drell-Yan and Z-boson production
We present an extraction of unpolarized partonic transverse momentum
distributions (TMDs) from a simultaneous fit of available data measured in
semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering, Drell-Yan and Z-boson production. To
connect data at different scales, we use TMD evolution at next-to-leading
logarithmic accuracy. The analysis is restricted to the low-transverse-momentum
region, with no matching to fixed-order calculations at high transverse
momentum. We introduce specific choices to deal with TMD evolution at low
scales, of the order of 1 GeV. This could be considered as a first attempt
at a global fit of TMDs
A first determination of the unpolarized quark TMDs from a global analysis
Transverse momentum dependent distribution and fragmentation functions of
unpolarized quarks inside unpolarized protons are extracted, for the first
time, through a simultaneous analysis of semi-inclusive deep-inelastic
scattering, Drell-Yan and boson hadroproduction processes. This study is
performed at leading order in perturbative QCD, with energy scale evolution at
the next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. Moreover, some specific choices are
made to deal with low scale evolution around 1 GeV. Since only data in the
low transverse momentum region are considered, no matching to fixed-order
calculations at high transverse momentum is needed.Comment: 10 pages, 6 figures, 1 table; to appear in the Proceedings of the QCD

Anticollocated backstepping observer design for a class of coupled reaction-diffusion PDEs
The state observation problem is tackled for a system ofncoupled reaction-diffusion PDEs, possessing the same diffusivity parameter and equipped with boundary sensing devices. Particularly, a backstepping-based observer is designed and the exponential stability of the error system is proven with an arbitrarily fast convergence rate. The transformation kernel matrix is derived in the explicit form by using the method of successive approximations, thereby yielding the observer gains in the explicit form, too. Simulation results support the effectiveness of the suggested design

Finite-Time Consensus with Disturbance Rejection by Discontinuous Local Interactions in Directed Graphs
In this technical note we propose a decentralized discontinuous interaction rule which allows to achieve consensus in a network of agents modeled by continuous-time first-order integrator dynamics affected by bounded disturbances. The topology of the network is described by a directed graph. The proposed discontinuous interaction rule is capable of rejecting the effects of the disturbances and achieving consensus after a finite transient time. An upper bound to the convergence time is explicitly derived in the technical note. Simulation results, referring to a network of coupled Kuramoto-like oscillators, are illustrated to corroborate the theoretical analysis
La Fenomenologia dello spirito di Hegel: Problemi e interpretazioni
[English]:The volume collects essays dedicated to the Phenomenology of the spirit of G.W.F. Hegel and to some of its main interpretations. It gathers critical essays on the Hegelian masterpiece and studies on Hegel’s influences on authors such as Marx, Gentile, Heidegger, Kojève, Paci, Lacan and Brandom. These contributions investigate some categorical nodes that have marked ensuing ethical, theoretical, philosophical-political and later psychoanalytic reflections: dialectic, culture, negation, desire, body, phenomenon, recognition. Therefore, this collection does not intend to mark a specific interpretation of the Hegelian text. Rather, the authors share the effort to illustrate in actu exercito the possibilities given by these two extremes – the text and its interpretation – in which later philosophical culture has moved. Through this movement the Phenomenology of the spirit continues to produce Philosophy, intended as an opportunity and an instrument for the understanding of "one's own time with thought".
In addition to the editors, the volume hosts contributions from: Stefania Achella, Rossella Bonito Oliva, Alessio Calabrese, Teresa Caporale, Alessandro De Cesaris, Giuseppe Antonio Di Marco, Gianluca Garelli, Roberto Morani, Anna Pia Ruoppo./ [Italiano]: Il volume raccoglie saggi dedicati alla Fenomenologia dello spirito di G.W.F.

The three-dimensional distribution of quarks in momentum space
We present the distribution of unpolarized quarks in a transversely polarized
proton in three-dimensional momentum space. Our results are based on consistent
extractions of the unpolarized and Sivers transverse momentum dependent parton
distributions (TMDs)
